Dining guide
Dining at casino resorts
From chef-led restaurants to late-night cafés, here is how to find the best meals on a resort trip.
Where to eat
The kinds of venues you will usually find in a casino hotel
01
Signature restaurant
Often run by a well-known chef and the hardest table to get. Book as soon as your dates are set, especially for Friday and Saturday.
02
Buffet
Good for variety and families. Weekday lunch is usually the best value. Weekend brunch can mean long queues.
03
24-hour café
Handy for late arrivals and early flights. Menus are simple, but service rarely stops.
04
Bars and lounges
Live music lounges are often free to enter. Rooftop bars may charge a cover or need a reservation on busy nights.
Tips
Eating well without overspending
- Look off-property. Neighbourhood restaurants a short walk or ride away are often better value than the resort's own venues.
- Check for set menus. Many signature restaurants offer an earlier sitting with a fixed-price menu.
- Mention dietary needs when booking. Large kitchens can usually cope, but they need notice.
- Read the dress code. Some fine-dining rooms still ask for closed shoes or collared shirts.
