Terms to check before you pay
Every casino hotel sets its own rules. These are the ones that most often surprise travellers. Always confirm the details directly with the hotel.
Resort and destination fees
A mandatory daily fee may be added to the room rate to cover Wi-Fi, pool or gym access. Ask whether it is included in the price shown.
Deposits and incidentals
Hotels commonly place a temporary hold on a card at check-in. The amount and how long it takes to release vary.
Age requirements
Minimum ages to check in, enter gaming areas or order alcohol differ by country and state, commonly 18 or 21. Photo ID is usually required.
Cancellation terms
Flexible rates often allow free cancellation up to a set time before arrival. Prepaid and event-weekend rates may be non-refundable.
Smoking
Rules for gaming areas and rooms differ widely by jurisdiction. Confirm if smoke-free air matters to you.
Parking
Self-parking and valet may be free, charged daily or free only for loyalty members.
